At the recent Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, Tahitian Noni
International (TNI) announced the launch of a new product line - TAHITIAN
NONI™ Equine Essentials™ — Liquid Nutritional Supplement. TNI’s Global
Product Strategy Business Group is pleased to now announce the official
launch and release of TAHITIAN NONI Equine Essential, a TNI product
specifically formulated for horses. The product will be released in the
United States May 10th, 2004. TNI will initiate a product certification
program designed to enhance the Equine Essentials business opportunity. An
Equine Certified Distributor can qualify for certain benefits related to
the product line. This message will help clarify and further explain this
unique product launch and opportunity.
Product Release Date (U.S. Only)
This first of several anticipated TAHITIAN NONItm equine products will be
officially released for the U.S. market on Monday, May 10th, 2004. We
currently have no definitive dates for the product’s release in other
countries, although we have begun registration processes for Canada and a
selected group of other countries. Explicit decisions and dates for
additional markets are pending local registration procedures.
A Unique Product for Horses
After extensive equine specific nutritional research and testing, TNI is
ready to launch the first nutritional supplement made with TAHITIAN NONI®
Juice and formulated specifically for horses.
Although TAHITIAN NONI Juice has become one of the best known brands in the
healthy beverage market and the foremost brand of noni products in the
world, a portion of the TAHITIAN NONI story has been directly influenced by
noni’s effect on prized animals. Dr. Anne Hiruzumi-Kim’s initial interest
in the study of noni was a direct result of witnessing the positive effects
noni had on her family pet. Dr. Kim’s story is not unique. Since the
release of TAHITIAN NONI Juice, TNI Distributors from all parts of the
world have submitted countless testimonials of the positive effects that
TAHITIAN NONI Juice has had on their pets and animals.
With the launch of our first Equine Essentials product, Tahitian Noni
International is responding to the growing chorus of pet and animal owners
who have been clamouring for a TAHITIAN NONI™ product for animals. Dr.
Richard Godbee, a highly regarded and credentialed professor at the
University of Nevada’s School of Animal Biotechnology, has declared:
TAHITIAN NONI™ Equine Essentials™ appears to improve anti-oxidant activity in
the horses tested, stimulating the immune system. The product also acts as
an effective analgesic, improving anti-inflammatory activity. Additionally,
we’ve noted significant increases in adaptogenic activity, increasing the
animal’s ability to deal with stress. The animals also simply look better,
with a healthier and more lustrous coat of hair.
TAHITIAN NONI™ Equine Essentials™ is a liquid nutritional supplement for
horses. The product is the exclusive and proprietary formula of Tahitian
Noni International, and was developed with assistance and consultation from
equine nutrition professionals. TNI has a U.S. patent on all animal
products containing Morinda citrifolia L. of course, in addition to the
protection of patents, only one source of TAHITIAN NONI® Juice exists in
the world - Tahitian Noni International.
A Unique Product Opportunity
Despite some early exploratory ideas of marketing and distributing TAHITIAN
NONI™ Equine Essentials™ outside of the TNI model, Kelly Olsen, president of
TNI, with approval of Morinda’s Board of Directors, has determined that
TNI’s compensation plan and TNI’s distribution model provide the best
opportunity for immediate and long-term success of this significant product
opportunity. Thus, TAHITIAN NONI™ Equine Essentials™ will be marketed and
distributed as a full-fledged member of TNI’s growing product opportunity.
Any TNI distributor can purchase and market TAHITIAN NONI™ Equine
Essentials. However, TNI will institute a TAHITIAN NONI Equine
Certification Program. Distributors who wish to certify, may apply to enter
the certification program. Certification entitles a distributor to certain
benefits outlined later in this announcement.
Earlier conceptual ideas of requiring purchases of (100) count case lots,
or of allowing certified distributors to place the product in retail outlets
have been dropped. TAHITIAN NONI™ Equine Essentials™ will be marketed
and distributed with the same policies and procedures as TAHITIAN NONI™
Juice, or any other TAHITIAN NONI product. Minimum purchase quantities are
not required. Displaying and marketing the product through regular retail
establishments is not permissible. TNI’s established 2400 QV/month limit
remains in place for all products. However, an Equine Certified
Distributor will be allowed to purchase increased quantities of Equine
Essentials products.
How Do I Become a TNI Equine Certified Distributor?
To build a successful business in the equine industry and community, one
needs a basic understanding of the industry and an acquaintance with
industry specific terms, standards, and nuances. Distributors seeking the
“certified” designation must apply for such, and demonstrate a working
understanding of the industry. The requirements will be simple and
straightforward. No attempt is being made to limit participation. However,
a basic understanding of horses, their owners, and their needs is required.
After submitting an application, the applicant will be asked to submit
credentials, and pass an examination administered by a TNI equine
specialist. Once accepted, the applicant will receive a pin and card
identifying him/her as an Equine Certified Distributor. Renewal or
re-certification may be required annually.
What Are the Benefits of Certification?
While all TNI Distributors will be allowed to purchase, market, and sell
TAHITIAN NONI™ Equine Essentials™ products, Equine Certified Distributors
will be able to take advantage of the best pricing and compensation tiers.

Case AutoShip benefits. Equine Essentials will be included as an

No QV Restriction: TNI Distributors are limited to monthly personal volumes
of 2400 QV. An Equine Certified Distributor will receive a waiver to that
restriction, specific to Equine Essentials products.
Equine Specific Lead-Share: Equine Certified Distributors may qualify for
Equine specific leads through TNI’s Lead-Share program.
Equine Specific Newsletters, Communications, Events and Services: Qualified
Equine Certified Distributors will have ready access to TNI’s knowledge and
service banks in all of their forms, pertaining to TNI’s Equine products.
